Ones We Hadn't Seen Before

"Do you see what I see?"
Ok...so we have seen hippos before, but I really like this picture. This hippo was camera shy.

Last time we saw a leopard and this time we saw cheetahs! We caught up with these right as we were about to leave the park. There were three of them, a mother and two cubs, stalking some antelopes. If we hadn't had to high-tail it back to camp, we might of seen our first kill!

I also saw a crocodile this time, but I wasn't able to get a good picture of him. My point-and-shoot wouldn't zoom that far and I wasn't about to go down to the riverbank for a closeup.

Richard's Bum Leg

To continue my previous post, the rest of the email: "Oh...and then, when we got back to school, Richard went to play volleyball with his team. It was for the championship game. So, they win the first game, and at the start of the second, he trips over a student and hurts his ankle. I find out, because some of the younger kids came looking for me saying that Richard is hurt and he wants me. Thank God again because his foot isn't broken. We don't know, however, if he's torn a ligament or just sprained his ankle. It's swelling up nicely, but without changing colors or bruising. He may go to see the local Adventist orthopedic doctor. Turns out it's the same guy who fixed his broken arm when he was here as a Freshman." Thankfully, after getting an X-ray in Rongai to confirm, (which some people would debate is questionable), no bones are broken. Just a "soft tissue injury" as the X-ray tech called it. That Time The Lord Lined Up All My Ducks and Gave Me the Perfect Ammunition

I must have not been listening to God very well this week, because He had to use three completely different sources coming together as one for me to finally go, “Oh, I get it!” One of the first things I do in the morning, as I’m just waking up, is roll over in bed, grab my phone and read the Velvet Ashes blog post for the day.   I always look forward to Fridays because the post on this day wraps up the week’s theme, stretches my thinking about it, and lingers with me throughout the weekend.   This week’s theme is on Personality, and I was especially looking forward to learning more about the nine Enneagram types.    Kimberly Todd did a great job of giving an overview of each type, and how they are connected to others, and my appetite was wet.   I immediately began to speculate what number I was and even clicked on a link to help me find out, but because it directed me to a site where I needed to pay money, I gave up and moved on to my next morning activity....
